first laminated bow?

I' am plan on building a laminated bow and was wondering if I could use bamboo or some other wood instead of using fiberglass.Want an all wood bow I would appreciate any info. Thanks

you can use bamboo, but based on the wood type that your backing it will be thin, probably no more than 1/8 inches thick, maybe thinner. And just to keep you informed, bamboo is a grass  ::) ;D

I didn't know that. I just want it to be all natural material.

just do a search, hickory, maple, white oak all make great backers on lam bows, Bub
failure is an option, everyone fails, it's how you handle it that matters.
