Hickory backed sinew on a hot wood stove?

I sinew backed a shagbark sapling weeks ago and was wondering if it would hurt to heat it a bit on the wood stove to be sure it is good and dry.
I used TB hide glue.
Would heat destroy sinew or glue?

Oh yeah, what about freezing temps on sinewed bow after 3 weeks curing already?

too much heat will make sinew shrivel.
near the wood stove should be fine....on it, not so much!

Well since you used tite bond hide glue it should be pretty much dry after 3 weeks

Stay away from the stove. The fact you have a wood stove means your room is bone dry already.

Should the sinew have a very slight stickiness when gripped. It feels rock hard but the stickiness worries me. I've never started tillering a sinew bow before.

Sticky means its getting soft.  Stay away from that kind of heat.  Sometimes I set on top of my bookcase where the ceiling is warm but not too warm.  I've put them under the bed also.  (Don't tell the little woman  >:D)  Hot heat may also make it check.  Stay away from a hot box too.  Just room temp will be fine...and patience.
