I'm not sure, but if autum olive is useable there is plenty on my road, back in the "70s when the neighbors moved in, and there was no olive here, they called the forest service and they were told that a/o was a wildlife friendly. Well...enough said. I hear you cut them close and dab a herbicide right into the cut end. Be nice to use some of it.
