Archery related Halloween Pumpkin
« on: October 31, 2007, 03:42:07 pm »
Hi all. I am not sure where the heck to even post this, so mods, feel free to do your thing.

I have named this jack-o-lantern “William Tell’s other Son.” You can figure out why, eh? :) Technically, it should be a crossbow bolt.

My wife, who is a huge Halloween fan, thinks this went a bit over the top – demented and depraved are two words she used when she came home to find this on the kitchen table. I find those to be nice compliments.

The arrow is one I had broken a while back, and the “blood” is just red food coloring added to corn syrup. The apple is real, and serves as a nice handle for putting in a candle.

Happy Halloween!

Dane

Yeah, I've heard those words used on more than one occasion from the wife after stopping to pick up roadkill snakes and such. Great halloween spirit and fun!

Thanks everyone! Glad you liked my little creation. Neat someone else has one out there now, too, Auggie. If your neighbors shun you, don't blame me.

Jamie, thanks about the fletching, :)
