What do you use?  I don't want to ruin my finish with shitty writing.

I use a sharpie brand fine point paint pen.  Picked it up at a craft store for a few bucks.  My handwriting stinks so I hate writing on them but I feel like I need to.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Thanks, I have a whole bunch of these laying around that I use for DVDs and CDs.  I got all excited when I found an old bottle of India (Indian) ink, but alas it had decided to go solid and grainy on me.

I use a fine point sharpie too. I find that if you don't put a coat of tru oil or some other kind of finish down first it will run all over the wood grain and ruin the writing.  Dale

Hell on some bows I just use a wooden pencil cus then you can just erase if you mess up and once your finish is over the pencil it'l stay on
