Mitch, I add the wrap then soak it with the Massey finish. Last night when I did this I just rolled up a paper towel and made a brush of sorts. I then dipped it in the finish and dobbed that on the cord wrap until it is all saturated, taking care around the leather floppy rest not to saturate it too. This morning it was all cured out and ready to go. It makes a great, all weather handle wrap and is cheap and easy to do.
Thanks everyone. I've enjoyed getting back into building and have come up with a few ideas I want to try now.
Clint, any time, any bow.
Jesse, old habits die hard.
Glad to see you back in the loop. Sure would be nice to have some cheese curds with my cold beer at the Classic.
Dictionary, I have a "How To" on the Floppy rest if you would like it. It is an invention of Mickie Lotz(The Ferrot)
Josh, my "corner of shame" has produced a few fantastic bows over the years. I never burn screw ups. They disserve another chance. It just has to be the right time for both of you.
Danny, we have all been there. I've been doing this stuff for 25 years or more and my first 10 years were rediculous!
Seabass, both Twin Oaks and I appreciate that. I have a good feeling about your chances!
