Paddle + Molly = Polly?
« on: February 23, 2013, 08:18:41 pm »
This one is a little different. Sort of a paddle shaped limb with levers. 4 inch rigid handle. It was a super dense piece of sage from a  limb, but had a splinter try to pop at a knot so laid some rawhide over the working limbs. I went with a circular tiller on this one 'cause that's what I wanted. 65# @ 26" . 55" long.

That is just plain great....shape,style,tiller, weight. That's a killer right there. Just a tad "light" for you ain't it? ::)

Looks great man! Kind of a well rounded molly. I've always thought of paddle bows of having wider 'bend in the handle' handles but I'm no expert. I like this better anyway.  :)

At fist I thought the tips were a hair wide, but at 65lbs, its not an issue at all. Again, good work.

How does it shoot?

cool jon...I have a similar bow in the works with hackberry with a more definitive narrowed handle section and it has a 5 curve side profile...its funky/wonky looking

looks like a good hard shooter to me...like the paint job too ;)

Rich I was surprised this one even made it. I thought for sure it was goona go boom so I left it a little light.
CS not really supposed to be an actual West Coast representation hence the title. Shoots wicked fast.
Chris I like the one you just put up. A little long is all ;)
Thanks Kelly

Nice job, Jon. Looks lean and mean to me!!

Fine looking bow, it doesnt look like the tips thicken up at all from where they start to narrow.

That smells like dead turkey to me.
