"Hole Lotta Love"
« on: February 23, 2013, 07:55:26 pm »
This was another bow made up at my good pal Martys at martyjam2013. I originally got the stave in trade from Lee Slikkers, and why he would trade such a stave I don't know  8)....I popped a belly split off of it of which I gave to ryoon and he made that crazy concoction yumi thang  ;) ...two amazing bows came from that stave  8)

Its 58@26"....24 ounces...leather built up handle with a leather stitched grip....jicarillo tip overlays....and one big 1 3/8" wide hole  ;D

Well....no more messing around....lets get straight to the money shot first  ;D

That's awesome, Chris! Would've been cooler with Ben Franklin peeking through there instead. ;)

Wait, wait, wait a doggone minute...I didn't know I traded you THAT stave!  Wanna trade back now good ol' buddy ol' pal????

Sweet work my friend...obviously I trade that back when I thought the only good Osage stave was match stick straight and that anything with holes, snakes, whoopdie-doo's and the like was pretty much kindling.  Live and learn (the hard way)

Really like her Chris, you did an excellent job as usual.

cool bow Chris.  You did well with it.  Nice you can hide behind it and peer through the hole at a deer you are stalking ;D

Did I read too much into the title, or is that for the slow periods during deer season? Cool bow all around, maybe Jimmy Page could play something on it.
