Last night I went over to Maggie's place to feed the dogs since she works almost a 14 hr day on Thursdays. This was the first time I have ever given a dog an injection and I was pretty nervous. She gets 8 units of insulin under the skin twice a day while she is being fed. She never looked up from her bowl as the needle stuck her. No surprise, this dog LIVES to eat!
Today she was really energetic and we've had several good romps around the yard. Nice to see the mutt back in her normal state. Even Maggie's 14 yr old arthritic springer spaniel is in great spirits, he's nearly blind and uses the little dog to navigate around.
Dogs and friends, just don't want to be without either of 'em, ya know?
Again, my sincerest thanks to everyone that was so supportive.
