Made me a bow bench!

Been meaning to make one of these for quite a while (along with MANY other things) but got some time this weekend to get this put together.

Sawhorse brackets, 2x10 seat and ramp, 2x4 arms and legs and some leftover 2x stock for the rest of the pieces. he pivot pin is a 1/2" aluminum bar inside a piece of PVC pipe strapped to the bottom of the bench.

Bench actually knocks down for easier transport. Legs come off, can take pins out of door hinges holding he ramp on and the pivot bar is removeable to take the arm off as well. T

Total cost, about $40 with most of that in the sawhorse brackets. Now I've got to make some bows with it.

Howdy,  Great looking bench.   Simplicity is good, as is portability.
I would suggest you consider adding a peg or two in front of the clamp to keep the stave from swinging sideways.

I take mine to all the bow shoots and gatherings all summer. Its real nice having it right next to the camp site. Good looking bench.

Looks great. I have to build one soon. My plans are similiar except for the legs, I'll just cut 2 pieces of 2x10 about 16 inches long and but it up to the bottom and ad some bracing, if its a little tippy I'll screw on small gussets on the bottom to give the legs more support

Thanks for the tip on the pegs. I've seen ropes tied around but I think that will work better. I think one of the first additions will be some padding on the seat.

I added a flip down back rest to mine.  It helps this old back, alot.  Oh and a couple leathe pouches on the side to hold scrapers.
