Not sure how I feel about this one, but here it is nonetheless:
60" Osage Snake that was backed with sinew while reverse curved and then covered with Ball Python skin.
39#@32", shoots off the hand, has one of the wonkiest tiller I have ever had the dubious pleasure of finishing and is whisper quiet without any discernible vibration/handshock.
Originally I finished the bow with (what I thought was a perfect tiller) 40#@28" and placed it on the shelf for a couple of months to let the sinew finish any final curing; however, when I picked it up again the bow had climbed about 8lbs (which I figured would happen) and tiller was off (never had that happen before). I let it sit another month only to come back to it to find that the situation hadn't improved. It was about to head to the corner of shame for an extended stay when I decided to make the bow for someone with an extra long draw length. My thought was that this would allow me to get the tiller back in line while hopefully maintaining as close to original draw weight as I could.
In the end my brother shoots exactly these specs and his Birthday is in March, so he may have just got a new bow... if he wants it
