Well picked up a armload of osage seed balls today. Now what? Lol!

Put them in a bucketb of water until spring. If you live where it freezes them put it in an area that won't freeze like in the basement or garage. Over a few months the hedge apples will turn to mush.  In spring, after the last frost dig a shallow trench(2" to 3" deep) and pour the mush in the trench, cover with dirt and wait for germination.

Is that how they would make fences with them?

Cool. Thanks. Wasn't sure how to seperate it all.  ;D

And tell Yall what, ill gather some more up and see if I can get a mess of seeds. Postage wouldn't be squat to send it to whomever wanted some. I have osage all over where I live. One of the benefits of living in the backwoods of Kentucky. Lol!

Just going to put this out there Squirrelslayer,.................introducing a non-native species ,has never in the history of man ,worked out as planned . Here are a few examples. Dandelions, Purple loosestrife, Zebra muscles,Cane toads, Rabbits, Beavers, Starlings, Cats ,Dogs ,Pigs, Goats, Giant Hogweed,African snails, Pythons ,Iguanas,Emerald Ash borer,Asian longhorned beatle, Scotch Thistle,Asian Carp........................................We could go on but ,I'm hoping you get it. The outcome is usually devistating to entire ecosystems in ways that were never imagined.
