Man....sorry for the breakage but it happens. Sounds like your around some guys that know what their doing so just keep on making shavings and you'll get it down. Danny

Good point to check moisture. I'll do that when I get home.

Yes Bryce (aka the lumberjack) helped me out. Gave me a seasoned VM too!

I don't know of anybody who had gotten serious about making wooden bows that has'nt broke some while trying.You kind of get numb or shrug your shoulders and say oh well and move on,but it is very important as I see you are trying to figure out why it broke.You will learn more from a broke bow than a successful one.Your doing all the right things and the next successful one will be even sweeter believe me.
