New BBO hunting bow
« on: February 13, 2013, 10:06:47 pm »
Just finished this Torges style BBO bow.  About 63" ntn, 56# @ 28", lower limb is 3/4 " shorter.  It holds 1/4" of reflex after shooting and returns to 1" after resting.

I really like this style of hunting bow.  It is beautifully balanced, smooth to draw and shoot, quick, and quiet, even without string silencers.  It has only been shot a few hundred times now, but I know it will go the distance.  My poor photos don't do it justice.

looks like a sweet shooter.  What is the riser wood?

Love the finish work on the back Darryl. Very cool!

The riser wood is cherry.  Arrow shelf built out with leather.  Tip overlays are Osage, but stained black.

Thanks for your replies, guys.

Great job overall. I love the looks of that one. She has a nice shape, too!!

Pappy - You know the saying.  Nine months of winter...three months of tough sledding.

PEARLY - Lower limb is 3/4" shorter.  Balance point is just about center.  Arrow pass is 1 1/2" above center.

I like this bow!
