Hey brothers in bows.I'm completing two osage bows that will be snake skin backed should they prove worthy. There was a recent thread about order etc. that consumed itself in a downward spiral.I was hoping to find out how to degrease glycerin tanned skins.Any help would be appreciated.Tom

Tom, If they were tanned in antifreeze that is alcohol based so a soak in alcohol will probably help. There might be a certain glue that works better with glycerin. Pat

I would wash them with Dawn dish washing liquid and then spray the down with brake Kleen I have done this before and it worked fine.I would prefer just dried or green tho. :)Alcohol would
work also I am sure.

Hi,
Instead of tanned skins, why don't you get your hands on some dried skins. No fuss, no muss. Glue 'em on with hide glue or TB2. Do you need some? I have about 10 matched pairs of diamond backs and prairies.
