I cant tell you what it is but it s not hackberry. I guess i should say it doesnt look like any hackberry ive ever seen.

Trying to find me some good bow wood around here but no luck. It's even harder if you can't Id that many trees. Lol!

I'd say that was hackberry with those corky warts all over it.

I don't know where you are, but that doesn't look like the hackberry we have in Indiana.

I ran into that same problem when I was getting started. But once you get a go-to species that you can identify easily, things will pick right  up for you.

It looks JUST like the Hackberry we have in Alabama.

I'd say it is a hackberry of some kind, I've noticed some variation in the bark around where I live.  Could be a subspecies as well, maybe Georgia hackberry?

Its wierd how the bark varies from region to region.
