Finished 62" Hickory
« on: February 09, 2013, 04:02:42 pm »
Been working this stave on and off for the last 3 weeks.
It lifted a splinter on the back [worked it to soon after tempering] so I had to cover with linen.
Finished it last night.
62" ntn, #45@28"
1 1/2" at fades to 1/2" tips
Shoots good.
Painted back black w/white spots

Belly stained brown fading into red dye

Wife cut the top tip off. Whoops

Need to drop my elbow. LOL

Looks like ya got a good shooter. One thing I have to get down to is a short bow like yours 62" ntn Or Less, that pulls 28"  and decent weight. I'm getting there....

Good looking bow Don.

Beautiful bow, I love the paint job.  Great to see it alive after raising a splinter.  That gives me hope for one I have on the back burner.

Thanks fellas. It doesn't shoot to bad.
It shoots 50/55 arrows better then 45/50's.
I have a couple of bows that do that.

Yes I hunt, not sure what I'll use yet.

Nicely done! Be great to see the rest of the top limb at full draw, just to get a complete idea of tiller. I always like to see other people's tiller profiles.
