Working on a take down bow for a local gentleman. As soon as I'm done with that I'll start on my trade bow. I haven't decided yet between a laminated or selfbow design.

Your right Greg.  So cool to see all these great bows being turned out.  It used to be that this hobby, craft, passion was for me, an activity I did alone, or with just a few people in a tight circle of friends.  I'm energized being a part of a larger community (one that I didn't know existed until recently) that shares this passion.  I'm thankful to PA and to the members running this trade.  So great to be a part of this!

ok here is my latest progress; not that its all the interesting, however it bumps the topic to the top:). this is my first time using white oak so this molly came out quite a bit under weight; i took your advice and heat treated the belly, and piked the ends an inch on each side. i would be willing to bet it upped the weight by 15 lbs, which puts me right at the high end of my recipients draw weight. right now she is sitting at 64" t2t, and about 60lbs@28''. i have only put a handful of arrows though it this morning but it definitely hammers them home. ill be using white oak a whole lot more in the future, it seems to be damn near unbreakable (knocks on wood). kudos to my six year old for taking the full-draw pic!anyways let me know what you think before i start dolling her up. thanks

I like it. I had a feeling that tempering would jump your weight up nicely. Does it stand straighter now as well?

Hey Roy!  That may be at the upper end of my weight range, but I can get used to it mighty quick.  In fact, you can go ahead and ship now.  I'll finish sanding and laying on some shellac.  I just can't wait to shoot her!   :D

That is for me, right?  Please? O please, I'll be good*!

Nice job. I like those pin nocks!!
