Mat that bow looks awesome, there's a place on the wall right next to last years if you want to go ahead and mail it. Danny, looks like your almost home with that one, looks great.
Took mine out of the mummy wrap yesterday and am just waiting for it to finish curing to put on the skin and mail it out. Sorry to my recip. It won't be at the classic. Wish I was, but maybe next year.

Finally got a chance to shoot the trade bow today but still didn't have a camera person so this was the best I could do. Please forgive my form I've been told my shoulders are shot so my method it a bit weird but works for me.

Jeremy this bow really shoots sweet...  very easy on these ailing shoulders and puts an arrow right where it is supposed to :)

Thank you again...  I am truly enjoying your work.........

I know this bow trade is about giving, but some of these bows being posted got me wanting and wishing!!   :) :)

Well I have this shorty pulling about 21" so far. I only have about 4 more inches to go. It is most likely getting a couple layers of sinew.

Sorry Kip,  I wasn't smart enough to figure out that was a video! :-[  I thought you were just being a wise guy and posting a pic of nothing. ::)  Oh well,  certainly not my first brain fart and definitely not my last. That being said, after watching the vids all I can say is WOW! Beautifully done Sir!  Josh

This weekend I had some time to work on my trade bow. Here is a picture of the bow after it was spliced together and floor tillered.

I decided to flip the tips a bit. Here is a picture of the bow in the form. I used a heat gun to make the bends.

The bow with both tips flipped.

Here is my first brace. Tiller was pretty good out of the chute.

Next I shaped the handle and then shaped and glued on horn overlays for the tip.

I tillered the bow to 30” but came in a little underweight at 52#. I’ve never made a vine maple bow this long and underestimated the limb thickness. Oh well it’s still a decent bow.

Kelly, nice looking bend.  I can see 5 more inches out of it.  You'll be bending every fiber.

Gordon, great job as always.  I've got to ask though.  The tips look to flipped more unstrung than they do braced or drawn, are they working a bit or is that just my imagination?

Dave, I did not make the tips static - they bend a little.

Also I lost a some of the bend during the tillering process.

Looking good Kelly and Gordon. I still can't see Coaster's video even after joining photo bucket, but I'm sure it's a nice one!!
