I got that much penetration today out of a 65lb bow and a standard arrow against a thin (1") phone directory on a brand new rock hard Egertec boss. I reckon if I put it on a soft surface like you guys it will go even further...

Set the 1" thick phone directory up on a plastazote skin layered field butt and got 5" of penetration with the bodkin tipped standard arrow. 
But only 2" penetration on a 1 1/2" directory.

But I suppose with everything there is a technique to gaining the desired outcome.

I prefer venison over phone books

That sounds right while my test was with 15" draw (57.0#) and 11" stroke from 4" brace. Your must be about 28" draw with 65lb bow and about 22" stroke from about 6" brace
