I've been busy..................

.......................Cutting buckthorn!!!  Yesterday, I decided to harvest some "weeds" at a local forest preserve.  12 hours and a ton of work yielded  52 full length(68"-82") staves and 3 sets of billets. I have also got 25 more staves debarked and drying in my basement. Hopefully they will be dry enough to bring to Tennessee and Marshall.  I plan on going out again, there's a lot more out there!!

Great haul! I wish my garage looked like that. By the way I have a nice selection of southern wood if you ever want to trade ;D

That looks like a rewarding twelve hours.  :) When splitting you staves how wide are you shooting for.
