Arrow shooting Position

What do most of you prefer your Bow setup to be. Arrow shelf applied to the bow either in leather fasion or just glued on, or cut in shelf, or off the wrist, and Why..?

all three, but on my bows 9 times out of ten off the  knuckle

I like off the knuckle, cause I like to feel the arrow as I draw it.

       off the knuckle but have been trying diff. things of late. think i will try more to have a better knowledge base :-\

I almost always prefer to add a leather floppy rest.  It allows you to tweak the position, gives you an indicator for where to place your hand each time, gives you the same geometry as shooting off the knuckle, adds a bit or protection from the arrow shaft and quill as it passes, and allows just a bit more clearance with less drag than shooting off the knuckle.

That said, to each his own.   :)

I've done all three. I like em all... For me, if I'm going to deer hunt with a Bow (which I do with most all the bows I make for myself) I prefer some sort of shelf. I did the built up leather style for years and lately I've been cutting in to about 1/8" of center and still building up with leather some. I just like the convience of hanging up my bow while on stand arrow nocked and ready. It frees my hands up and I'm more comfortable on long sits.

I dish the rest area out and build some sort of a shelf from leather, either built up or floppy.

all three for me.for my elb,i have no shelf.it wouldn't look right.most of my other bows have a very small locater type shelf or notch.some are leather,some are cut in.it is fun to try them all.
