Building a shack
« on: October 22, 2007, 11:46:35 am »
Started building a maple sugar shack/hunting camp yesterday. Will be glad when it is finished. It will make it better when I'm boiling sugar.Last year had to do it under tarps, work ok until we got a real wet heavy snow.It will also give me a place to try working on building bows. Will try to get some pictures of it when I can find my camera,I'm in the middle of moving.

Can't wait to see it,nothing like having a place like that to get away to.That is the way my cabin started several years ago and now it is almost like home. You just keep adding things to make it better and before you know it ,it is almost to nice . :) I think when I added Electricity way the down fall. ;) :)

I really needed to build one.Last year was my first year doing maple sugar, had a lot of fun doing it.But there were a few day when the weather was not so good.It made it hard to boil ,hard to stand there, and hard to get help when I needed it.It won't be much of a shack but it will be a step up from tarps.
