the steel sleeve adds 8oz, which seems like a lot, but it doesn't feel bad at all, we'll see how it balances out when it's done, it's just under 60" ttt, Bub

Ok so another fine job bubby. Couple questions wouldn't the wood swell ocasionally causing a very tight fit.? And how about wear on the wooden end piece.?

That's coming along nicely!  Great idea with the pipe.  I've always wanted to try making a take down and this seems like a great way to do it.
