I just acquired quite a fewosage staves that are fairly crooked. This thread has totally restored my faith that I'll be able to get at least a few bows out of them! Any chance I could get a rundown to your process for straightening this one?

Can't wait to see how this one turns out! Great work guys!

The pics look good. That one limb that has the rolling wave grain through it will even out with a little scraping at a time. This bow has gone through a massive evolution since the Moontree! Post pics or give me a shout when you get everything bending the way you want. Should be a dandy deer killer for this fall!

Awesome job straightening that one out. That was a lot of bending with dry heat.  Osage rocks.

Good example of what dry heat will do with dry osage, nice works guys. Besides statics, I havent found a reason to use steam with osage in a good while.

That left side looks to be bending the way you want now. Scrape, scrape, scrape :)

That is looking good.  Are you going to finish it in a nice metal flake color?
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left
