As quick a wit as he has it is a bit out of character for him to be speachless. I'm guessing that he is a proud man as we all are to a certain degree and doesn't want to influence anyone. He's not a taker he's a giver and I know that sometimes givers have a hard time recieving. I have not met him in person but have spoken with him on a number of occasions by phone and I am sure he is a blast in person. Testiment to that is how much everyone wants him to be there. Some people just add a little spice to life and apparantley JW is that kind of person. My offer stands. Danny
Danny was right on the money. I got that Scandanavian Lutheran background that requires me to pitch in and help out, but never ask for help, and to refuse help because "I'm just fine and I'll be ok"
Well, it was put to me bluntly just very recently that in refusing I would be denying others the chance to do good. In effect, I would be standing in the way of them receiving the blessings we get when we give from the heart. I spoke with a friend about this today and she told me it was pride, and not the good kind, more like the 7 deadly sins kind of pride.
So, I have been humbled and I am thankful. I now need to clear my calendar for the dates, organize volunteers to cover caring for my birds, and all the things you gotta do when you are going to be out of town. Looks like I got a road trip in my future.
Thanks.
