Over seas trade of Osage for Wych Elm?
« on: January 29, 2013, 04:01:23 am »
Hi guys/gals
I am a regular on these boards and I have had enough....Its Osage here, and its Osage there, king of bow wood and what not.

Now I have come to the point were I have to try out Osage. As I live in Denmark I don't have access to this species, so I will need some help.

This post is pretty much just a feeler.....I would like to know if anyone would be interested in trading an Osage stave for a Wych Elm stave (danish stone age bows, like Holmegaard, Møllegabet and Hjarnø were made exclusively of Wych Elm).

I will harvest Elm again in the comming weeks.....so im not looking to trad right now. Im thinking summer or early fall when my staves have stabilised.

If anyone is interested or know someone who is, then feel to reply or give me a PM.

Cheers
