are you a right or left handed shooter. if it is missaligned to the left and you put the arrow on the left then the arrow is in line with the string and i think would be more accurate. but don't take my word for it im sure there are tons more experinced bowyers that will help you out and offeer better advice than i can

You can try steaming it straight, through the handle. Idk How well a thick handle of hickory bends with heat.

I think it's best to have it as close to the center of the handle as possible. You can bend the handle though you need to be careful that you dont crack it, bending thick wood puts it under a lot of strain. You can also bend the limbs to the side to compensate, the further out toward the tips the more you have to bend it to affect the tips proportionally. That's the advantage of bending it at the hand because a littl bend there will move the tips a lot. Good luck.

Will you post pics so we can see how the string tracks?

if you have a splinter this is what i would do. cover an inch section of the bow were the splinter is in super glue then as the glue is dry aply another coat but this time as it drys get some B-50 cord or simalar and wrap that around that area and cover in more super glue and leave to dry for 48 hrs before doing any work. you could get cord that matches the colour of your bow so it is less obvious. have fun and good luck.

After using wraps of various styles, I have settled on rawhide. I would suggest getting some rawhide and covering the whole back now. The bow will be rock solid forever and you wont have an ugly wrap to look at. If you never used rawhide, its VERY simple. I see the the kink in the handle as you pointed out. Did you get it straightened out?
