sinew backed eastern woodland bows

Anyone know of any examples of a sinew backed eastern woodlands style of bow ??
more specifically something such as the Powhatan bows as shown in the first few pages of the
Encyclopedia of Native American Bows, Arrows and Quivers.

The reason  I ask is that I'm considering making a similar bow from a black locust stave that a buddy gave to me
and think that it could benefit from sinew backing.

Glenn, sinew backing probably wasn't used in the Eastern US because of humidity. I've never seen of heard of a sinew backed Eastern Woodland bow...but why not try it. We make sinew bows anyway so might as well try an Eastern Woodland style.
