Hickory bow 64" NtN #42@26"
« on: January 20, 2013, 04:26:52 pm »
Hello. As some know my last bow, the osage problem bow went boom.
So I brought out this hickory stave. It was backed with linen because of a bad spot on one limb.
It has a small amount of prop twist but the string lines up well.
Anyway this is for my daughter so I may bring the weight down some, she pulls 24".
Here's some picture and please let me know if I should do anything different on the next hickory I have waiting.
Not the best pictures, it's cold outside.

Thanks

I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.
Guess I'll shoot it a bit and finish it up.
Daughter said something about purple  ::). I'm not to sure about that though. We'll see.

Good looking bow, there should be a lot of shots in that one.

Yep, girls like that purple. For my daughters that is in the works, I used purpleheart wood on tips and riser. But the handle developed  a seperation at the fades yesterday while shooting it in  :o
You could use some purple cloth for a wrap or dye some designs.
Nice bow and good tiller. Thanks for sharing.

That one turned out really nice, Don. Sweet bend for sure. I'm sure she'll love it!!
