Here she is all sinewed. I plan to add rawhide in a week. I will use hide glue for that as well.

Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?

Chris,
Beginners question here- What is the reason for both sinew and rawhide backing?

It's looking good!

Dan i skin or rawhide all sinewed bows to protect the glue. In this case i want to paint the back and will need a "canvas" to do so.

I chose to fore go the rawhide. Im going to skin this bow rather. Its 46" ntn and tillered out to 26". But it feels good at 25", which is a tad over 40#. Its a rippin little turd. It never make a sound the whole time I tillered it. No glue cracking and no frets. Its a sound little bow and really does shoot hard enough to kill a deer at 25". I left the tips plain and just shaped them and narrowed them some. I will post pics when I get the finish work all done.

Randy I need to get her finished off now. I will put up some finish pics in a week or so. Gotta corral some skins for it and attach my horse hair tassle.
