How about a plastic barrel and 4 ropes? We can yank on the ropes while they try to shoot? Doubt I will get the sinew down until Monday. The shop is closed for today and I have my new TWIN nieces baptism tomorrow. So cool!

Be careful with them shorties, Drums.  You're gonna git bit by them!  Once you start making them, its tough to stop.

That's gonna be a cool little bow Pearlie. Like Matt said they are as addictive. I've built a few and have a few more bouncing around in my brain.
 I prefer back sinew for backing bows. For me it makes a lot neater application.

I tillered the little bugger out to 18" yesterday and got two courses of sinew down. Its reverse braced about 4". Im going to wait two weeks and add one more layer. Then wait two more weeks and add rawhide. The string angle still looked great at 18".

The cool part of all this is my buddy has a great horse that will let me do whatever I want on his back. So If Im a little tipsy or leaning he wont give me any problems at all. He is a good boy! Cant wait to fire some arrows off his back this spring.

Whoa,i got back a little late on this one.lots of short joke flying around.i will shoot that bow off the top of what ever you choose.even clints shoulders,running horse,atv,beer cooler,barrel with ropes.but if i hit the target that Blackhawk is holding,i get to keep the bow.sound like a deal? >:D

After 8 days of curing the string I used to reverse brace the bow 4" has went slack. Thats always nice to see when adding sinew.

I'm thinking with the induced reflex and the sinew pulling it even further as it cures, that one is gonna have some serious reflex.

Bring him out here to South Dakota and I can make arrangements to get him in range of some buffalo.  If he's willing to fork a horse he may be the first person to kill a buff with a bow off horseback since Howard Hill filmed it back in the day!
