PS. Please give us some stats, did you thin the ash down from a piece of wood or from a veneer? Looks very very pretty.

Pb, I worked an Ash stave down until it was a backing strip and glued it down and then actually worked it down an additional growth ring since it was still a bit thick.
 I soaked and steamed the ends of the strip to ensure that they would bend to fit the radius of the recurves easily.

Here's a few more. Ignore the quickly made knotted spiderwire tillering string. I'll sand to fine-tune the tiller now.
