I have a hard time telling with the tilt and background and I'd like to see it braced and unbraced and all of that.  But it looks pretty good.

I agree, so far the tiller looks good. Based on your pic, it looks like maybe 4 more inches until full draw. How much weight are you pulling and what is your final target weight?

Yeah, the outer 1/3 does look a little stiff, I was kinda wondering if it was a molley.

Well, I'm pulling 40 there. Last 3rd is stiff on purpose. I don't want the recurves moving. Not a molly, more of a pyramid shape. The tips already start to pull out a touch, so I don't wanna make move any more. I am shooting for 45 to 50 lbs. I just feel that something beetween the two lims is off.

I am still a novice, but it is really hard to tell with the shadow of the bow and that we don't have a front profile picture but.... I would say the bottom limb is curving nicely the top limb is the one not working well. It looks stiff coming out of the handle bends then a touch before mid limb and is then stiff again to the tip. I think you can take wood off before the bend and not drop your weight, but be careful not to then make a bow which suffers from set. .......Just my opinion. Oh yeah what wood is it?

I think I have diagnosed the wood to be wytch elm. And I do believe you are correct on the upper limb not bending right. I have dedicated all the tiller adjustments to the upper limb.

Recurves? There are no recurves in this bow. Maybe mildly flipped tips, but not recurves.

You need to get more limb length bending. Even if you want the outer tips to be stiff, you still want all the wood up to the tips bending. At the moment, a stretch of six inches, between midlimb and the flipped tips, is still not doing anything. The pyramid front profile dictates that this wood should bend, ideally. I agree that the upper limb needs some scraping to match the lower limb, but I would also scrape the aforementioned six inches of each limb. Maybe you even need to scrape the handle fades a bit, as they seem excessively long as it stands.

Looks good if it's meant to be a Molly with stiff tips.
I diagnose tiller fatigue ;D, stop messin' tell everyone it's a Molly and shoot the heck out of it.

Ok DarkSoul, you win, mildly flipped tips. But thats not how it started out. They began as recurves, but I made them too thin, and they are now working tips. I have reached this stage of tiller, full draw @ 45 lbs, with 1.5 inches of set after repeated drawing.

I think my tiller is terrible, and really wish I could get a re-do on this bow and feel awful about it. I will get frontal and braced/unbraced pics up tomorrow. Thanks for the help guys.

its looking good i would say bottom limb looks a little stiff  mib limb compared to top limb on the second pic. i wouldnt like that string to go on you. that hook on your scales could have your  eye out.

Thank you for the safety tip. I would have never thought of that.

I should add, here is the tiller I was trying to get on another bow I have, only I wanted more of a recurve.
