New Hickory Bow

This is my new hickory bow that I made over Christmas break.

- Walnut tip overlays (first time doing tip overlays)

-Artificial rattlesnake backing

- Grip is wrapped with twine and then heavily varnished

- 69" NTN

-Original had about 1.5 inches of set but after heat treating, set is only 1/2"

-53# at 28"

Thanks to the heat treating, the bow shoots very nicely. This has been the first time I have ever heat treated a bow, and the result really show. This is my new favorite.

I see ur in ypsi ...u should come out to the Marshall or elm hall shoots,and a few others. ;)

The fake skins are great. They were easy to put on and looked great after I varnished the entire bow.

MOJAM is in Marshall, MO every summer, ...but this appears to be something else.

Oh, and that's a lovely Hick Bow Sir!!!  Heat treating Hickory seems to make ALL the difference!

Well yes I know it would be in Marshal but exactly where in Marshal is this at? Is there an address I can Map quest?

No that isn't a board bow. It is from a hickory tree I cut in July.
