Need advice
« on: January 11, 2013, 07:21:17 pm »
Hello everybody, I am no only new here but new to bow making. I am starting my first bow and am going to use red oak and linen backing, I want to use it for target and hunting but can't decide on the length, I was thinking about 6' but am considering 7'. I know that a longer bow in the woods is more difficult to maneuver but  I like the idea and the looks of a long bow. I would like to know what y'all think and thank y'all in advance

Matt

if I was you i'd go with a 72" bow, just do a alb and you will get the look you want, Bub

Doble your draw and add 20-25%. For a 26 inch draw 66-68 inches should do it. More on my site. Jawge
