New Year Newnan
« on: January 12, 2013, 12:46:32 pm »
I brought in the new year by breaking rock. Here's a couple coral newnans. The orange one was donated to the Warm Mineral Springs for a silent auction.

And just to prove I can make points other than newnans I happened to find this dovetail in a nice piece of Flint Ridge

I'll be out on the pile today to see what else I can find out there

Nice colors!

Time, dedication, cuts, tons of broken rock, a wife, and perhaps a few girlfriends are some of what it takes in becoming a skilled flint knapper!!!

I think you need to go with those other boys, to the monastery!  I think I should just toss my rock, and tools, and just look at yours and all the other "Knappers" on here, and pretend that one day, I too could knapp like that. :P  Ah pipe dreams...... ::)
I wonder if that term came from the opium dens? ???  Anyway, as usual, you do some mighty fine knapping, mister!
