Make sure your trap is bedded properly , no movement when stepped on pcs other than pan. Don't dally around , get everything ready to go then go an set trap. The longer your there messin around the more scent you leave behind. You can't eliminate your scent but you can decrease it by getting in an out but don't jeprodize poor bedding because of hurrying.
