usps postage calculator
« on: January 05, 2013, 03:44:12 pm »
Just mailed some packages out yesterday and didn't know what to expect price wise.  Paid for it and got home and today found this on the usps website.  thought I'd post it just in case anyone was wondering what their package might cost to ship to various locations.  If I had seen this yesterday I could have saved myself some money shipping parcel instead of priority, Live and learn :)

Hope this helps make trades easier for some!

You can get a postal scale too for around $35.00. Weigh your package then use the calculator. They will even pick up your package at your house if you want them too. Saves a trip to the po.

The usps.com postage calculator is generally right with its calculations provided that your input data (weight, package size, zip codes, etc) are correct. I have made a few thousand online transactions during the past eleven years and I use the USPS exclusively for shipping. I prefer Priority Mail for its speed and safety and always pay for the Delivery Confirmation service to be added.
