I've heard conflicting info on whether you can reduce the nodes on bamboo backing to flush or nearly flush. I want to back a bow with snakeskin and would like to lower the profile of the nodes so they're not as visible. Can I ?

The nodes provide the strength for the boo as well as the fibres that run on the outside. You make the decision, some do, some dont when building.............bob

I have backed four or five of my Boo bows with snakeskins and you can hardly see the nodes after the skins have been put on.
