First year hunting with stone points

Hunting with stone points for the first time this year. These point were made by a friend of mine.

very nice work. one recommendation though. even though it would suck to cover up those footings you should wrap behind the point some. even hard wood footings will split when the point impacts bone. wrap it back another inch and it makes it very solid. peace

Look dangerous to me.  Jamie gave some good advice.  Ill just say, if you glued the points in with epoxy or something first it isn't quite as critical to wrap them. If they are set in pitch or just held in with the sinew, you will definately want to wrap them more.  Justin

Hey Roger: If ya take anything like that buck you had in the back of the truck that time (that was you wasn't it?) Man what a trophy! I know it's more about the full belly than the horns, but I'm still trying to get rid of years residual effects. Nice lookin arras - hope ya score with em.

Mullet, the points were made by a friend at MoJam this year. His name is Marty.
