Nice job, Papaw!! Each is unique...you can tell those didn't come off no assembly line!! 8)

Alex and the hickory, this bow gave me fits, the lower limb was bending to much out from the tips where there was a standing knot, So after Mullet help me ck tiller and all I needed was to stiffen up that lower limb, I heated the belly last 3rd and reflex the tip a little. was running out of time before the kids got back from their cruise for christmas, so I skinned it and finished the bow without cking tiller, :( and it is off. now the bottom is stiff and the top is working to much. Oh well, I fix it when I get back to Tenn. He can shoot it ok, its shooting to the right of target.

Nice job Grandpa, nothing quite like the feeling of giving a good kid the gift of a handmade bow. I like that you made each one different, makes em' each feel like theirs is the special one. All nice looking bows Spyder!  8)

Thanks Greg, Yea I had six kids to make for and wanted all to be different and I didn't get the chance to see the faces of the other three but my daughter said they were real exicited. See other post for the other three: http://www.primitivearcher.com/smf/index.php/topic,36586.0.html

twilightandmist; The bottom piece is suppose to be rosewood, but it didn't look like the piece on the Ipe bow. and yes to purpleheart and Ipe.

Thanks Jawge

I got a few more photo's if I can get photobucket to work >:(
