Like George Carlin said, "Whatever happened to a kid sitting in the yard with a stick?!"

Must stem from my childhood bub. When my daughters were young and wanted everything I would tell them about the olden days when I was their age and how tough things were. I would lay it on thick and say that all we had was a stick to play with, just one stick
and I had to share it with my three brothers lol ;)
Of course now I have many sticks and strings too,
Greg
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

My wife was laughing at me when I opened a present with a bow drill in it and I was super excited.

Heh, after listening to my father-in-law say "you kids now days have to much stuff, when I was young all I got was a bag of broken glass to jingle", that's one of the presents he opened this year - a bag of broken glass in a box :)

Nor will you find so many people that would get depressed when they didn't get a stick or box of rocks  ;D
