keeping broadheads from coming through quiver

i am new on using side or back quivers and was wondering how do you keep your broadheads from touching or cutting through the buckskin. Right now all i can carry in my red fox quiver is field points because i dont know how to keep broadheads in a quiver. Do you use cardboard wood. Need help thanks

i stuff grass or roughed up cedar bark in the bottom of the quiver. if you keep it soft enough itll keep the heads away from each other. you can also make a loose leather sock for the points that will fall off as you remove the arrow. kind of a pain seeing as you have to dig through the quiver to find the sock in my opinion. peace

what hide do you use though for the quiver itself? I have a red fox and im thinkin its too thin skinned for broadheads. Maybe buckskin or cowhide i have an elk robe but its pretty rough. Any more suggestions thanks though mullet. what the weather like down south?, here it got real chilly quick in a matter of days. Thanks again mullet

.................................. I cut pieces of corragated cardboard ta go over stone pernts. Will post a pic ifn I get time later. Can shoot thru them makes no difference. Get wet , no problem just make more ! Fox is a real thin skin. I use deerhide er hawgskin, whatever I got at the time Iam makin' a quiver..................................bob

  If I was using a fox skin .I'd glue or sew it to some buckskin or put a thicker leather liner in the bottom.But you would still have to be careful removing your arrows.I think I would do something like Mechlesher did with the raccon quiver.It's still hot down here though.I was working on the airboat today and it felt like it was in the ninety's on the water.But a cold front is coming tomorrow so it will drop to high's in the 80's.

i know its not primitve but i use pvs tubing to keep the arrows away from each other so they don't dull, or rattle.  i line the pvc with cloth.  works great

All my quivers have a pine wood bottom, and for broadheads, I put about a 2" thick piece of dense foam in the bottom to poke the broadheads into. Kinda like a bow quiver head.

I made a cup out of heavey sheep skin, with the wool on, and put it in the bottom of my quiver

i think i will try the sheepskin i have some
