Ok I know I have got alot of questions about yew but I don't come across yew everyday here in the midwest and don't want to screw it up! I decided I will go ahead and back it with rawhide, better safe than sorry. My next question is how would you guys go about taking the twist out of a limb on yew?
Both limbs have an even twist all the way down them so I would need to heat a large portion of wood at a time. I also don't want to mar the soft wood. (I usually use a pipe wrench wrapped in cloth.)
I know yew tends to shoot good with some twist but thes limbs are twisted pretty good in opposite directions. Will they straighten out some during tillering?
