The patina is due to exposure to the sun over the last several months. It started out as golden as the rest of osage orange does.

JonW. You live in Okla. right? I'm just north of the border in southern Kansas. If you get time you should come up and see us. we got a nice little course to shoot and food fit for a king.

Yeah that was me Danny. I think I've made a Molly the past three years at OJAM. Seeing all those yella bows being made is a treat. May try a 50/50 skinny minny this year.
