Good source for sinew.

I hear a lot of people talking about how expensive sinew is and I've seen some high prices on eBay and whatnot. But, a friend of mine happened upon this website that I think y'all would enjoy. nativewayonline.com They sell sinew, stone for arrow points, knapping supplies, etc. I bought 20 deer leg tendons for $26 after shipping. Just though I'd share, hope this helps some of you out for your sinew needs. :)

When I look at how long it takes me to strip a leg sinew off the leg, and figuring my time at minimum wages, my price per piece is a whole lot more than that!  Heck of a bargain!

Yea, I just saw that it's expired. Hoping that they just forgot. I'm gonna find my paypal invoice and email them to see what's what.

About 8 inches long on average. The bows I've done take about 5-6 tendons per bow.

Some of us offer sinew too. I have lots of whitetail back tendons and would be happy to figure out a trade. I can offer whole tendons or process them for you. Back tendons are much easier to process than leg tendons.

I go to a local deer proccesor, and get the discarded legs. they are free, and all you want.
Might want to give it a try.

Same here.  I can get pieces up to 18" long from a deer hind leg.

FYI....I found Hytop gelatine is much cheaper than Knox.  I was skeptical of its integrity so I bought a box and am doing some experiments to test its strength.  Its much "cleaner" and lighter than Knox and so far it seems great.  It was like $5 a box.  I've heard that lighter colored hide glue is stronger....?  This stuff is lighter.  I have some sinew gluing down to plywood and two pieces of plywood glued together.

Turkey feathers seem to be fairly cheap on there? The black and white wing feathers are only 4.50 for 12 and 6.50 for natural feathers a dozen?
