I got an awesome care package from Fred Arnold. I was totally overwhelmed when it arrived. Pictured are 9 cane arrows, 3 with blunts, 3 with field points and 3 with steel trade points as well as a leather quiver to carry them. I also have here a brick of beeswax and a bundle of I believe whitetail back sinew that should go nicely with the osage stave Fred sent me, not pictured. Have a look, Fred truly does some great work. Thanks again Fred!!!
Is there anything better than wandering the earth with a stick and string in your hand?

Thanks Cam. That is the one I made and sent to wild man. It was glass tile from the 70's and elk tine.

I got a package in the mail from bubby today!  I know most of you already know this, but he's one heck of a guy and a fine craftsman.  He made me the coolest knapped knife I've ever seen and an amazing necklace that I can't wait to wear this turkey season (it just has to be good luck).  The blade (obsidian?) is translucent and has darker bands throughout it.  I'm not sure it shows up well in the picture, but it's a beautiful piece. Photographs sure don't do these items justice.  I'm a new knapper and these will serve as reference pieces so I know what a point and blade ought to look like and will give me something to shoot for.  Thanks again bubby!
