Anybody know a good trail cam?

I'm going to buy a trail cam. Anybody know anything about them. My budget tops at $200.

I just bought a Primos trail cam last week.  So far it seems to be a good one.  I just pulled the card today and I had some pictures of does and fawns.  The strap that came with it was junk so I made my own.  It cost $119 so it is at the bottom of your price range.  For $200 you should be able to get a nice one.

I've never used one, but may be needing one for security reasons.  Are they any that take photos in the dark without giving away their position?

I think so JW.  When I got mine they had one advertised as Black Out.  I didn't look at it to much because it was out of my price range but I don't think it shows any light when triggered.

Yes, a normal IR trail cam still gives off a dull red glow when the cam "flashes".  There are some new models which use IR LEDs completely out of the visible spectrum.  Like OO states, the Primos version is called the black-out.  They're a little bit pricier than a regular IR cam, but still under $200.

Spendy, but it might be worth it.  A picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case it might also be worth a conviction in District Court proceedings.

Sounds like it'd work.  Keep in mind that nighttime IR pictures are back and white.  The IR "flash" is limited distance as well.
