Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and then he can always make his own mocs  ;D  or something like that

No, it's teach a man to fish and he'll drink beer and waste all his time at the lake!

HAHAHAHA That made my day.

Fisherman's hell...only enough money for beer OR bait, but not both.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

making moccasins can cause you to drink. Search Creek or Cree moccasins. They are a one piece moc that is fairly easy to make. You can also purchase chrome tanned elk hide from Tandy Leather and they make very durable mocs. Thicker of course than deer. I have worn "center seam woodland moccasins" all over the woods while hunting in 18th century garb for years. Most comfortable shoe you can wear.
We would cut a piece of leather that looked like a doctor shoals insert and put it inside the moc. It would give double thickness and help on rocks.
It has been said that wearing moccasins is "just a decent way of going barefoot". They are not even a little water resistant. Wool socks are nice to wear with mocs.

Good Luck
